Lady Dana Hemphill

Dana Hemphill, the daughter of a singing evangelist and a faithful choir member, was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She began her ministry at the age of 3 years old while singing solos standing on a box. At the age of 11 Dana got her first experience in the recording business with the National C.O.G.I.C. Sunshine Band which did a live recording in 1992 under the leadership of Dr. Iris Stevenson. During her teenage years she would be known throughout the churches of Wichita, Kansas as “the songbird”. At the ripe age of 21 God sent out a clarion call unto Dana saying “leave your family and move to the big city of Dallas, Texas and allow me to prepare you for a greater work”.

Dana has been respectfully nominated for “New Female Artist of the Year” & “Female Soloist of the Year” by the “Texas Gospel Music Awards”. More recently she was awarded “Artist Of The Year” by the Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards. She has opened up and shared the stage with John P. Kee, Kim Burrell, Vickie Winans, Fred Hammond, Dorinda Clark-Cole, David & Tamela Mann, Myron Butler, Marvin Sapp and many more. “I look forward to seeing you in the industry” were the words of Kirk Franklin as he experienced her at a Coz Records Showcase. One of the producers on her debut album, Grammy and Stellar Award winner Myron Butler, states “Dana Hemphill is an anointed minstrel. Not only is she extremely gifted, but she possesses the Spirit of God. She is destined to do great exploits for the Kingdom of God”. She has made live national appearances on The Word Network ministering on The Word Network Church w/ Lexi Show and Rejoice In The Word w/ Bishop George Bloomer. Dana’s debut album was nationally released through digital distribution with guest artist such as Myron Butler & George Huff along with production by Grammy Winner’s Bobby Sparks, Daniel Weatherspoon, Michael Weatherspoon and more.

In addition to singing, Dana is a preacher with a call to minister to women. Dana states, “God has given me a vision and mission to help women heal. God wants us whole in every area of our life and now is the time to receive our healing.” Every 3rd Friday of the month Dana hosts “The Ladies’ Room”. TLR is known as a place where women can release their issues and receive their healing. In 2012 she starred in her first Gospel music stage play “The Replacement Wife” directed by National Playwright/Director, Latterras Whitfield. Her co-stars included Gospel music sensation Shirley Murdock and Tommy Ford (Martin Lawrence Show). In 2013 she starred in another Gospel music stage play “Just Like Yo Daddy”. Her co-stars included Terri J. Vaughn (Steve Harvey Show & Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns) and Christian Keyes (BET’s Let’s Stay Together & Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes To Jail). During the Christmas season of 2013 she co-starred in “Christmas N Da Hood” with Palmer Willimiams (Tyler Perry’s House of Payne & Love Thy Neighbor) and Tony Grant (Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married).

Dana and her husband, Pastor Lewis, lead The Link Church in DeSoto, TX. Dana has one daughter, Hailey, one son, Princeton and enjoys working with her husband for the Lord as a tag team ministry.
